Chile

Electronic tax documents and operational control in a single system

Chile has operated with electronic tax documents and digital books for years, and its companies expect the ERP to speak that language from day one. We implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central so finance, purchasing, inventory and sales work on a single record, adapted to the country’s tax requirements with BETABOX’s guidance.

How we serve you

Remote delivery with local support, backed by our headquarters in Miami, Florida.

Remote delivery, on your schedule
We work with companies in Chile remotely, with meetings, workshops and training in your time zone and in Spanish or English. The engagement does not depend on travel or a local office.
Backed by our Miami, Florida headquarters
Our headquarters at 444 Brickell Avenue, Miami, concentrates project leadership and the relationship with Microsoft. From there we coordinate the regional network of consultants that serves each country.
Local support in Spanish and English
Support is delivered over WhatsApp and email by the same consultants who took part in your implementation. No intermediaries and no generic call centers.

Tax and regulatory requirements your ERP must cover

The SII (Chile’s tax authority) requires signed and accepted electronic documents, electronic books and monthly returns. A well-kept ERP record makes the books produce themselves.

Tax authority: Servicio de Impuestos Internos (SII)

Electronic tax documents (DTE)
Electronic invoices, credit and debit notes, dispatch guides and purchase invoices, with authorized folios, electronic signature and acknowledgment of receipt.
Electronic receipt (boleta)
Electronic receipts for sales to end consumers, with daily sales reporting to the SII, relevant in retail and services.
Electronic books and Form 29
Purchase and sales register and the monthly VAT return with provisional monthly payments (PPM), built from system records.
Unidad de Fomento (UF) and other indexed units
Contracts, leases and installments expressed in UF or other indexed units, converted to pesos on the date of each transaction.
Withholding and professional fees
Electronic fee receipts received and the associated withholding, integrated into payables.

The topics above describe common obligations in the country’s regulatory environment and may change. During the assessment we review with you and your tax advisor which ones apply to your company and how they are covered within the project scope.

Why Dynamics 365 Business Central fits your market

Business Central adapts to your country’s tax requirements with BETABOX’s guidance, and brings capabilities that matter especially to companies in the region.

Multi-currency and multi-company
Record transactions in local currency and US dollars, value inventory and accounts in the currency you need, and consolidate several companies or sites into a single report.
Dimensions for local reporting
Classify every entry by cost center, branch, business line or project, and produce the reports local administration requires without parallel spreadsheets.
Interface and Copilot in Spanish and English
Business Central is available in both languages, and Copilot answers in your language about your own data: queries, summaries and suggestions without leaving the system.
Bank integration and traceability
Assisted bank reconciliation, statement import and full traceability of every entry for internal and external audits.
Extensible without breaking the standard
Country and company specifics are handled with extensions that coexist with Microsoft continuous updates, rather than customizations that block the system from evolving.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How are DTEs issued?
Business Central adapts to Chile’s tax requirements, including electronic tax documents, with BETABOX’s guidance. During the assessment we review with you and your accountant which documents your company issues and how they are covered in the scope.
Can I record contracts in UF?
Yes. Amounts in UF or other indexed units are recorded with their peso value on the transaction date, keeping the reference to the original unit for contracts, leases and installments.
Do you serve companies in Chile without a local office?
Yes. We work remotely with companies in Chile, in your time zone and in Spanish or English, backed by our headquarters in Miami, Florida, and a regional network of consultants. Implementation, training and support are delivered through video calls, online workshops and direct support channels.
How long does a Business Central implementation take?
It depends on the scope, the number of companies and the quality of the data being migrated. We do not publish generic timelines: the complimentary assessment delivers a phased schedule with stated assumptions and agreed success criteria.
How does support work after go-live?
With 24/7 support and under 1 hour response time, over WhatsApp and email, handled by consultants who know your implementation. Every case is logged with a priority and followed through to closure.
Can I work in local currency and US dollars at the same time?
Yes. Business Central records transactions in multiple currencies, keeps historical exchange rates and reports in local currency and US dollars, with balance revaluation when regulation or management requires it.
